Ok, so it has been a long time since I posted. My girlfriend from Arizona came to visit the second weekend in November. (OMG that seems like a long time ago, and I guess it kinda has been!) It was a good visit. I really enjoyed seeing her again. There were a few semi-long silences, but after all it has been ten years since we saw each other. But all in all it was good.
In other news, Jack fell and broke his collar bone the second weekend in December. He is healing well, but slow. He sees the Dr. again in two and a half weeks for another x-ray. And then MAYBE he will be able to go back to work on light duty. And then he is planning to retire from IBM March 1st. That will be a change for all of us. He is then planning to go to work for a huge farmer/businessman in the area.
And guess what I just did a little while ago! I broke a molar eating popcorn. Now I have to find a dentist in the morning. And hope I do not swallow the piece of tooth just dangling there. Yuck! I HATE dentists. I am really scared of them. I have to find a very patient one with gentle ways. Quickly in the morning. Send me lots of good thoughts please??? I am one scaredy cat when it comes to dentists. *sigh*
On better things, the grandson is still awesome. He is walking/running everywhere now. Christmas was great. The rest of the family is doing as good as can be expected for us. We do tend to hurt ourselves a lot!!
Well, better go for now and take some advil. Will try to post better in the coming months.

Ok, so the fall rains have started. The trees are starting to turn. Farmers are in the fields. And my whole body hurts. Aaahhhh cold weather!! Yuck!!!
On a brighter side, my friend Sandie is coming for a visit the second weekend in November and I cannot wait. I haven't seen her in almost ten years. Talked to her on the phone and on the computer, but have not seen her. I can't wait!!! @@@@@@@ (that is me doing a happy dance, if I could!) So, now I am trying to get the place all spiffed up. Painting and getting new carpet in the dining room and new vinyl in the kitchen. And in there somewhere having a Home Interiors party on the 16th. Hanging new curtains and generally cleaning inside and out. Whhhheeeeeeeeee. hehe

Big blow-up at work this afternoon. Geez, I hate that working environment. I (for the most part) like my job. It is just some of the co-workers I have problems with. I won't go into detail, just send me some good thoughts. Please!!

Welcome to spring in the mid-west. I just got home from work, parked the car in the garage and walked to the house. Ok, it is only about 15 steps. In that time, I got rained on, hailed on, heard thunder and the sun was trying to peek out. *shakes head* If you don't like the weather, stick around. It will soon change!
Oh, and by the way, why do the stupidest women have the snarkiest attitude? I abhor stupid women and I work in an office with several. *sigh*

Well, it looked like we missed the big snow that they were callin for. So I made an appointment to have a massage. Ok, it was a little icy out but the roads were just wet. I talked earlier with my daughter and she said it was slicker than it looked and she would pick me up and take me to my appointment. Ok i said. So she picked me up and it was icier than I thought, but the roads weren't bad. We parked and boy were the sidewalks slick. So we decided to walk in the grass to get to the door. We didn't take into consideration the sloping entryway to another business ( the local NAPA store). yes, you guessed it. Shuffle, shuffle, crackle, (this doesn't look good) swish, swish, AAHHHHHH splat, splat. She falls one way facing the way we just came. And I fell the other way facing the way we were going. Just another day in the Ogle-Stone family. We all need Michelin suits and outriggers! No, no we are ok. Just a little sore and ego-bruised. The massage was good tho. And we are safely home. *rolls eyes* *sighs*

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Personally, I am happy to start a new year.
Last year had its ups and downs. The up was super, and his name is Ian. Our first grandson. What a little guy! The down was that I have been diagnosed with "Inherited Sensory Motor Disease, Type II" And yes it is official. I got the genetic blood tests results back today. This disease falls under the umbrella of MD-Muscular Distrophy. Not life threatening, but life debilatating. Cane, crutches, wheelchair. Yeah! Mind will be ok, just not the arms and legs. *sigh* But in the whole scheme of things it could be worse. Honest. I really do feel that way. At least this explains why I have been a clutz my whole life! *shrug*
Well, on that note, I really should go. I have housework to do. *blech* See ya.
